Will BYU Get A Big Man?

With Keba Keita going to the NBA and Abdullah Ahmed entering the transfer portal and eventually getting picked up by UMass, BYU has been struggling to find a center.

BYU has tried many times and offered a spot on their roster to many centers, but somehow, BYU has been unable to get any of these centers to commit.

BYU has tried to recruit a few international centers, tried to get some fresh out of high school who are reclassifying and some who were not, along with some players from the transfer portal. No one has committed.

Currently, Kevin Young has two players considering to join the basketball team.

Xu Xin-a 7'5" center from China. Talk about tall! Xu Xin was reportedly working through the final hurdles of getting him enrolled, but he was invited to a Summer League with the San Antonio Spurs, which is where Victor Wembanyama, "Wemby" plays. So, will BYU get him at BYU? Imagine BYU having a 7'5" guy!

Caleb Ourigou-a 6'11" center, who might be reclassifying to be in the 2026 class. BYU has had him visit and is still waiting from his final answer. Currently, it looks like Nebraska and BYU are at the top of his list. This could also be a good option for BYU.

BYU is in desperate need of a center, will they get Xu Xin or Caleb Ourigou?
