EPIC NBA Draft!!

The NBA Draft, took place on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week! This draft resulted in amazing picks for BYU fans!

After much debate and controversy, the Wizards with the 1st pick in the NBA Draft, selected AJ DYBANSTA!! This made me so happy and I am so glad that the Wizards picked AJ over Darryn Peterson, who went 2nd overall to the Utah Jazz. This top 10 1st round draft pick for AJ Dybansta made it two consecutive years for the BYU mens basketball program getting 2 top 10 1st round picks, with Egor Demin getting picked 8th last year by the Brooklyn Nets. Duke also accomplished this stat with Cooper Flagg going 1st last year and Cameron Boozer going 3rd to the Grizzlies this year.

On Wednesday, Richie Saunders got selected 2nd in the 2nd round by the Memphis Grizzlies!! I am so glad he got picked early in the 2nd round because he totally deserved it and has worked so hard! According to ESPN's draft pick grades, the Memphis Grizzlies got an A+, meaning they selected good players and have a solid chance and being good next year. They picked Cameron Boozer, Karim Lopez, and Richie Saunders.

Although Keba Keita did not get drafted, he agreed to an Exhibit 10 deal with the Indiana Pacers. An Exhibit 10 deal is a one-year, non-guaranteed NBA agreement that allows players to participate in training camps and can be converted to a two-way contract before the start of the regular season.
